  The church building has been there since ~1998, but the Church has been in existence for a while.
  
  The following information is taken from a "Church History" paper distributed prior to the Dedication Service of the Church:
  
  03/1971: 1st meeting, a group met to discuss organization.
  04/1971: 1st Sunday Service.
  07/1972: Became a Christian Science Society.
  10/1975: Became a Christian Science Church: First Church of Christ, Scientist, Reston, Virginia.
  05/1988: Property on which the church structure is built was purchased.
  01/1997: Construction began.
  03/1998: Final inspections for occupation.
  05/2006: Church Dedication Service (purchase and construction costs all paid off)
